New Cost-Effective Dental, Vision Coverage Now Available in New Jersey For Families, Individuals of all Ages Including Seniors and Children
INDIANAPOLIS (May 4, 2011) - UnitedHealthcare’s Golden Rule Insurance Company has introduced new coverage options to help make dental and vision care more cost-effective for individuals and families in New Jersey, including children and seniors on Medicare.
The dental plans with optional vision coverage are available to consumers of all ages and do not require applicants to have any other insurance plans through Golden Rule or its affiliates, which includes Oxford Health Plan of New Jersey. Applicants for the new plans will automatically be accepted if they meet state residency requirements and have no other dental insurance.
Golden Rule’s dental coverage features 100% coverage for preventive care with no deductible and no waiting period, as well as savings through UnitedHealthcare’s extensive network of 152,700 dentists. Benefits of the new vision coverage include comprehensive eye examinations, prescription glasses and contacts. To help consumers keep their costs lower, discounts are offered through UnitedHealthcare’s vision network of over 31,000 private practice and retail chain providers.
“Dental and vision care are an important part of overall health and wellness,” Rich Collins, CEO of Golden Rule and UnitedHealthcare’s Northeast region, said. “Especially in today’s economy when trips to the dentist or eye doctor can be difficult to budget, our new coverage options can help individuals and families take better care of their health at a more affordable cost.”
Golden Rule Insurance Company, a leading provider of health insurance for individuals and families for more than 60 years, became a UnitedHealthcare company in 2003. UnitedHealthcare’s personal health insurance and dental plans are offered in 41 states and marketed under the UnitedHealthOne brand, which includes products underwritten by both Golden Rule and Oxford.
