Managed Care

Managed care refers to a system of health care delivery that influences utilization, quality of care, cost of services, and measures performance of the health care system. The goal is a system that delivers value by providing access to quality, cost-effective health care. Managed care plans include Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO), Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO), and Point of Service (POS) plans.
